About Me

20171227_105419.jpgEmma Blanco is native to the Maryand suburbs of Washington DC, and is inspired by cultural narratives and identity. She is a creator and administrator who loves community and expression of belief.

Emma’s interests are broad within the liberal arts field, with specific interests in non-traditional American voices across many art forms. She draws from a love of genealogy and personal heritage from her Filipino-American mixed family and home. In addition to earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Brigham Young University, focusing on post-modern and contemporary immigrant-American literature, she also paints, draws, writes, and plays the piano.

Emma also enjoys participating in service and non-profit roles. She is an avid supporter of community and has served in roles spanning from labor union shop-steward to activities chair for a young adult organization to giving free piano lessons.
